I already wrote my <em>sakubun<\/em>, so that part was pretty easy. The only tough bit for me was conversation, and I&#8217;m getting better at that.<\/p>\n<p>Really, since I got here, I&#8217;ve come such a long way, it&#8217;s surprising. I may not have nailed the grammar, but I&#8217;m a lot better at expressing myself in Japanese, both in writing and in speaking, and I&#8217;m getting better at &#8220;Reading the air,&#8221; as they call it here. It means that I&#8217;m learning all of the little social things that you need to be able to do so you don&#8217;t come across as weird\/creepy\/intimidating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Conversation and writing tests today.
